Morocco still remains one of the most attractive countries for investors in Africa, according to the new edition of the study “Where to invest in Africa?”, Published by the South African bank Rand Merchant Bank (RMB) .
The Kingdom occupies, in fact, the 2nd position of the most attractive countries on the continent behind Egypt (1st) and ahead of South Africa (3rd). The national economy has been affected by the Covid pandemic like other African countries. But, it “continues to benefit from political stability,” the report said, noting that a special fund to fight Covid-19 was created in 2020, representing 2.7% of GDP. Two-thirds of the funds were to be provided by the private sector and one-third by the state.
In the ranking, Rwanda and Botswana completely top 5 of the most attractive African countries in terms of investments. At the top, listed in order are Mauritius, Ghana, Ivory Coast, Kenya and Tanzania.
