Morocco is the first African country to have acquired and administered the most doses of anti-Covid-19 vaccines to its population, according to the African Center for Disease Control and Prevention (Africa CDC) under the African Union.

In all, African countries have already acquired 357.9 million doses of the Covid-19 vaccine and have administered some 204.3 million to date, or about 57% of the total supply, notes the Institute.
As of November 12, 2021, the number of confirmed cases of Covid-19 in Africa has reached 8,549,672, including 220,378 deaths and 7,966,552 recoveries, he said.
