Morocco has 5,000 millionaires


Morocco is cited among the five richest countries on the continent. The kingdom has a very large number of millionaires and billionaires, according to Henley & Partners.

In its report published this week, the British cabinet revealed that Morocco occupies the 4ᵉ place among the richest African countries, just after South Africa, Egypt and Nigeria.

These countries alone hold more than 50% of the continent’s private wealth. A fortune estimated at 2,100 billion dollars, which should increase by 38% over the next ten years, predicts the document.

According to the firm, Morocco currently has 5,000 very wealthy people with a private fortune of more than a million dollars. Among them, 220 have a fortune of more than 10 million dollars, 22 weigh more than 100 million dollars and 3 have a fortune of more than a billion dollars.
